RETURNS FROM THE DEAD!!! ... or at least hibernation

yes I am lame so I'm adapting posts from conversations I've been having with Hollen because I am lazylazylazy.
Hey, sorry its taken me so long to write, lots of stuff going on :P There's school of course, which is okay because I think its going to be a fun semester. I didnt really want to start, but that was pretty much just because I didnt want to have to figure out what I was going to work on this semester in ceramics (I have to start figuring out what my senior show will be like). But I've got that mostly figured out now, so everythings good :) I'm going to still make functional stuff (as opposed to sculpture), but I am really interested in drawing or carving on the surface of the pots, and the 'theme' I am going to explore is animal/human relationships. Should be lots of fun.
I am also taking an awesome feminism class with one of my favorite teachers, our main project this semester is to get involved with some sort of organization off campus and do something with them. I think I might hook up with Safeplace (a shelter for survivors of domestic violence) and take their training course and do something with them. It should be interesting anyways.
Also I turned 21 yesterday!! It was super fun, my parents got me a bottle of wine (my dad chose the one with the most interesting picture, an opossum), and Afshan got me a box of wine (my real present was a new battery for my laptop that he gave me a couple weeks ago). Yay wine! Then I went out to 6th street with some people which was a ton of fun. It was pretty quiet since it was a tuesday, but enough people came that we could just hang out with each other. Got plenty of free drinks, but amazingly enough did not wake up with much of a hangover :D Hee. Went to HEB today and bought beer for the first time ever, much fun.
Anywho, I have lots and lots of stuff to get done tonight, but I will write more later (that was an awkward sentence).
