RETURNS FROM THE DEAD!!! ... or at least hibernation
Wednesday, March 26
huzzah! i have found a moment to post some more. :) mostly what is on my mind right now is how the orange-type mouthwash still BURNS LIKE A MOTHERFUCKER. "less intense" my ass. although i cant deny that my mouth feels fresh and clean after a good rinse. then again.. that could be that all my nerve endings are so fried they think they are fresh and clean...
cant wait till tomorrow, because im going to bake some BANANA NUT BREAD. hells yeah! i even went to the grocery store today and bought crazy items like flour, and baking powder/soda, and sugar and such. crazy, i know. i even had to buy the bread pan to make it in, its weird trying to start my own kitchen when im so used to baking in my moms, which has everything. but i learned something tonight: do not store lentils bought at different times in the same container, because they will cook at different speeds!! this is information i can pass onto my children! AMAZING. yes yes it is. god i love grapefruit... i was reminded of this last week. grapefruit for every breakfast this week, thanks to my loverly mother who bought me much.
speaking of which, i hope to prod her into buying me PLANTS. because i love PLANTS. i have my aloe plant + babies, and my two little cacti from afshan, and eva's onion that i planted after noticing it had massively sprouted, and a potato thats growing quite pretty little sprouts despite the fact that i have not yet planted it. :D today at heb i really wanted to buy more, but the ones i wanted were around $20, and i have to keep on reminding myself that my mom will totally buy me plants. she likes them too, and seems to always be looking for an excuse to buy me stuff, even though weve agreed that im buying groceries. what a mom.. jeeze :D

in addition, i have decided that this summer im going to buy a hedgehog. because dammit, hedgehogs ARE FREAKING CUTE. adorable, and spiky, and rolly-polly and wonderful :D heeee, im excited. ive been wanting one for a long time, then afshan and i went to herpetons and held some and they were just so awesome i had to get one. ive even been doing research and stuff, learning important things like get a wheel without side spokes because they like to stick their heads out the side when they run, and feed them low-fat catfood so they do not get obese (you can tell when they are too fat to roll into a ball). cutecutecute. and i like spiking things. so far the name ideas (all afshan) that i approve of are taco (hes been wanting to name something that for forever) and coggs (whoo redwall!). so yes. hedgehog. want one. getting one this summer. i will have to decide if i want to leave him at home next year or sneak him in the appt. woots.
also of non life-changing importance, over spring break ive suddenly gone on a sci-fi reading kick. it started because afshan was looking for stuff to read, and wanted things of that sort, then i started raiding my dads old paperbacks, and now ive compiled a three page list of authors and specific books that i want to read/re-read. im trying to hit all the really classic ones (gibson, heinlein, clark, asimov, wells, etc) and some of my favorite recent ones (card, adams, williams). its alphabetical and i marked which ones ive read before and which ones iv finished recently. currently reading 2001, then im going to move to some william gibson stuff, just because its what i have; as soon as i can get my hands on them im gonna finish the last two dune books, then maybe finish the 2001 series. eeee its so exciting :D
dum de dum, time to go to beds, but sometime i will fill in the previous post stuff, job, school, ceramics, etc. also ill try to post some of my recent pots, they are getting more interesting now :)

so yet again i am failing at keeping up with this thing :P but i will continue to try.
quick updates, i did indeed manage to get into austin in time to vote, which was nice and made me feel like a responsible citizen. the regular voting was actually really quick, it was the stupid caucus we had to wait forever for.
spring break was nice and relaxing, got to see hollen, did some research for stuff that needed to be researched, tried to sketch ideas for pots to make, and most exciting got a summer job at a clay place!! im going to be an assistant for classes to teach kids how to work with clay, its going to be the first real job i have related to what i want to do, which is kick-ass. more about that later.
right now only 6 more weeks of school left!! which is good because im looking forwards to the summer, working, visiting people, etc, but also a teensy bit stressful as im trying to make myself work on stuff thats going to be due soon, figuring out ceramics stuff, my schedule for next semester and where im going to live. wheeeee
anywho, classtimes, ill try to fill out a bit more when ive got more time :) gonna bake me some banana nut bread, yummers

murr... i feel bad about not voting in the primaries... its my fault, i meant to, but combination of forgetting and lazy = not. :/ realized last friday was the last day of early voting, so i was going to do it then, but didnt get to it till round 3, and there was a rediculous huge line, really didnt feel like hanging out in line so i was kinda going to go to a different location, but on the way convinced myself i would just do it on the actual day, early so less wait. then after its too late for early, i realized that the election was today, when im pretty much stuck at school until 6, giving me pretty much no chance to do it... bah. its just the primaries, and i dont feel that strongly either way, kinda wanted to vote obama. i guess i also feel worse because afshans going to the caucus tonight, which of course, i cant do. poopers. i suppose i could try to get off early, but the polls close at 7, and i knoww if i get there at 6:30 theres gonna be a huge line. i wonder, do they just tell the people waiting when the polls close, too bad? meheheh.
probably not worth it. plus, traffics going to be awful, so even if i manage to leave at 5:30, its probably going to take me practically till 7 to get there. im trying to convince myself its not worth it... but i feel bad
murgle.
gotta try to throw 10 lbs today, and then hopefully again tomorrow. gonna be a pain.
