thanks to the damn snow we couldnt go to colorado, are missing the wedding, i have to spend new years in a little town in new mexico with my granparents, and we dont get to see the old friends in fort collins. >_< i hate snow. at least for now. too many roads were closed in northern new mexico, and the passes between nm and colorado were all completely closed or closed on one side or the other. sigh. i dont even know why exactly im that upset, i think i was just looking forwards to DOING something, like the wedding. i mean im not that close with my cousin, so its not a huge deal. its just like, i had the dress, i was going to dress up, go, there would be a reception and a new years party, and now its just hanging out at my grandparents for another whole week. i guess part is also that i wanted to do something fun for new years, because im missing several friends new years parties, so i was hoping i could at least hang out with my cousins, and maybe go somewhere with them, but now we are just going to be here and drink freaking sparkling grape juice. no fireworks, and they arnt even going to get chapagne. >_< graaaaah. i love my grandparents to death (weird expression), but it can get a little boring, especially when i was looking forwards to partying of some sort. sigh. at least ill have a week after we get back, ill try to get something in there before i head back.
went to the caverns again today, i was still mad about being in new mexico when we first started, and i forgot my socks, so i was feeling bitchy, but the caverns are really cool even after going like 15 times, so i had fun anyways. big holes in the ground with lots of rocks, yayyyy! i got to go to the bathroom 750 ft underground! whooo! not really, i didnt need to pee. but i was that far under ground. and we got to take an elevator up. :D and yet again my dad pointed out the formation that looks like a boob. not that i can blame him, hes a guy, and it really does look alot like a boob. i can imagine the guys who were naming formations coming to that one and giggling. and then there is the valley of the penises. at least thats what i would name it.
ate chinese and more card games (I WON I WON I WON), and more lazy. whooo! i like being up here, i just end up not enjoying myself as much as i should because i keep on feeling like i am wasting my vacation. which is dumb, because vacations are for doing very little productive, and thats what im doing, and i should have fun, but sometimes i just end up moping for no reason because id rather be in austin, preferably getting drunk every so often. :/ meh.

went swimming again today, and swam some laps instead of jogging. swimming is much more enjoyable, and if i had a pool at my house i would do it every day. then again i do have a pool at school... it just has really weird hours and i dont like there to be other people around when i exercise. pooface. kicking is hard work :)
yay for sleeping and reading and pretty much nothing else! this is what vacation is all about :) finished one of the books dad gave me, oryx and crake by margaret atwood, very very good. very creepy, pretty depressing, really well written and really interesting. i really like her writing a lot, highly recommend it. its about the future basically, and this one guys story, has to do with a catastrophic plague, and genetic stuff like splicing to create new weird animals and viruses and other stuff. anywho, it was good, and one of those books where you cant just read another one right away, you kind of have to let it sink in for a little while first.
went to the carc farm today, which is this little bargain store that raises money for this community/assisted living for the 'mentally challenged.' i like to work at the cash register :) also picked up a random present for afshan, which i think he will like, and a bathrobe! ive always wanted a bathrobe, and its the towel kind, and green :) the annoying thing is that someone put elastic in the sleeves and velcro down the front instead of just using a tie, so i want to take all that stuff out because i think its stupid. bathrobes are supposed to tie. thats how it IS. so once i make it all good that will be exciting. i am totally going to like get some tea ready, and take a hot shower, and then just wrap up in the bathrobe and read or something. i think thats what you are supposed to do with them :D because its the towel kind, not the stupid silky kind.
letseee... i didnt really do anything else today. we played partners hand and foot yesterday, and tonight after dinner rosco and ramona (my grandparents old rv caravaning friends) are coming over so we will play more cards :) and COOKIES. yay cookies. i love my grandma for cookies. and other things, but mostly cookies. :D heee
crossing our fingers that we will get to denver okay, dad says if the snow is too bad they will just close the pass we need to go through, so im not entirely sure what we would do if that happened. i guess just be late, or miss it. which would suck. alot. hmmmmmm
the only bad thing about being here is i cant freaking sleep in. im in the same room w/ mom dad and ethan, so they always wake me up when they come in and out, and half the time grandma makes breakfast, which is yummy but requires getting up earlier than id like. :/ oh well.

whoo, at my grandparents now, and of course grandma is constantly feeding us, so i will probably get fat :) yayy fat. the trip seemed extra short, but apparently they changed the speed limit to 80 on the interstate, so thats probably part of it. mostly i slept the whole time, which helps make it shorter. my legs and arms kept on falling asleep though. stopped at dairy queen, as is our tradition :) the best part is we heard on the radio that denver may have another blizzard... so fingers crossed that we can make it there without problems...
the grands just got a new prius! its so fancy :D it has a power button! just like my computer :) faaaancy. and it of course has a cool display that will show you what engines are running and stuff like that. i want it. i was reading in wired about a new hydrogen fuel cell motorcycle thats going to come out soon. it looks funny, but its pretty cool. dooo de do.
christmas was nice, got some jet li movies, which makes me happy, books of course, and lots of little random things, like a kazoo! yayy. :) they are surprisingly difficult to play. you have to hum really loudly. and a rolly chair! my desk chair at the dorm is icky and lame, so yay for rolly :) and kazoos. ate ham for dinner, very tasty honey ham and MACARONI AND CHEEEEEESE. yay. then when to afshans house for the dallas game=suck. and more food of course.

pirates of the caribbean succccked. i didnt even watch most of it because i kept on getting bored of the fight scenes. all i can say is i hope that elizabeth gets w/ jack cuz hes still hot, and that will dies because i hate his guts. hes a pansy ass pretty boy and i wish he wouldnt make any more movies ever. >_< graaah.

do you ever have one of those nights where you are alone at home, and you really have absolutely nothing to do, you are kind of tired (and in this case feeling crappy from two days of allergies), but you just dont want to go to bed? i have no reason to not go to bed, its late enough, im bored, im tired. but i dont want to. :/ who knows. these are the times i like to have a glass of wine. when i turn 21 im going to buy my own wine and have a glass every night. its delicious, its calming, and its good for your heart. yayyy wine :)

went to the dog park today which was fun fun, afshan came and decided to bring poohbear next time. he can stay in the little dogs and 'shy older dogs' area :) cuz he is almost blind and we dont want him to bump into things. ki had lots of fun running around and kinda fetching, hes getting pretty good at every part except bringing it all the way back to us. he tends to get halfway then just chase after some other dog with the ball still in his mouth. its cute, and there were tons of cute dogs. yay dogs. the dog park is nice. mostly it makes me laugh how he knows when we are almost there, when we sit at the stoplight right before it he always starts whining and sticking his nose out the window. :) i think its cool that dogs can recognize places that easily, i mean timmy always knew right when we got to carlsbad on trips. he would perk up in a totally different way. :)

Sweet zombie Jesus on a pogo-stick i am done! hoooray. :) good to not have finals, and i realized that since im going on vacation right after xmas (cousins wedding in denver, whoo hoo snow here i come) i will only be in town for about ten days before i leave, so its pointless to try and find a job! yayy i have a good excuse to be lazy :) much happiness.
and i get to hang out with hollen, and tristan, (awwwkward) and you crazy, and all sorts of fun people. woot. :) it should be much fun an sleeping. yay sleeping. :)
haha, i was hanging out w/ eamon since i probably wont see him much over the break, him living so freakishly far north and all, and we just spent half an hour watching a girls gone wild infomercial/ad thing. haha, boobs are infinitely entertaining, even when they have stars digitally pasted over them.
man essay tests suck. after three hours of writing my hand was DEAD. and then i had to go take notes for another hour and a half for my stupid ceramics stuff that i didnt do all semester :P but its all done now, only sucks that i have to leave some pots there for grading, so not so much on xmas presents. oh well. i have crappy mugs, i just basically have to leave all my good things. sigh.
ps i want eamons phone. it is amazing. i dont even know what it is, but it is the sexiest phone ever. five times better than a razor. its camera zoooms. and rotates. and its all sleek and black and really thin. mmmm. phone.. speaking of phones i think i fucked mine up a bit >_< through circumstances that i dont feel like talking about, basically me being stupid, i got the very top part of the phone a LITTLE wet, just barely, and i dried it off right away, but it did something to the regular phone speaker, ear piece part. the loudspeaker part works fine, but when im talking i have a really hard time hearing people when its on normal. graaaaah it pisses me off. i have to put it on loudspeaker if i want to hear very well. i think my two years is up this summer, so maybe if i pay w/ my own money i can get a new one...
anywho... i suppose four is bedtime. gotta get up around eight tomorrow, but i plan on pretty much sleeping after that. mmmmmm christmas break.

new incubus cd (light grenades)= amazing. :) the more i listen to it the more i like it, though i still dont like the more acustic ones as much (earth to bella) but some of the songs are really really good. my three favorite songs (at the moment) are all in a row too, which makes me happy :P (dig, anna molly, love hurts). good songs. sigh. this is a cd that i can listen to nonstop for ... four days straight now, and still going :) my ipods batteries died halfway through the day ... god anna molly just came on and its so good :) plus a cool, if creepy, and sexy, music video. :P i have just been listening to the cd on repeat since i got it and i am not tired of it. that is what a good cd, and a favorite band, means to me. :) i wish i could go the concert, but its a small venue and tickets are about $200 a pop :( sucks ass. but i will see them again at some point, and enjoy their music regardless.

went to melodys party sat night, which was mostly fun. i dunno. started out awkward cuz i didnt know many people, but i got to hang out w/ dezi for a while. took a million pictures cuz we finally got our new camera :) hooray, pictures are fun. aaron danced alot funny. i think i am developing a taste for dos equis, my dad would be proud :P mostly fun, some odd things, ended kinda badish, but turned out alright. went home really late cuz i didnt want to stay where i was. psh. i dont even know what to talk about.

almost done with school, at first i felt all crazy busy, but i realize that everything is actually due in just the right time that i dont really have to work on more than one thing at a time. and ceramics is gonna get done fine, i just dont know if i am going to be able to take everything home right away. but i think dad may have to come up after grades are due to return papers, so maybe i can come up then. but ill get to take most of it home now anyways, so ill get some pictures of my better pots and stuff up on deviantart hopefully.
hopefully i can play on my tablet some over the break, i just havent been getting around to it, and i think i need to practice. i want to try and follow some tutorials for coloring better and stuff. figure it all out, plus i have a project i kinda started but never finished that would be nice to work on.

i neeed to remember to call some places this week, see about getting a holiday job. but i really really dont want to dye my hair, so hopefully either some place like hot topic or maybe spencers that wouldnt care, or in the back of some other place. eamon says that lauren has a job folding shit and never even goes on the floor, so that would be ideal. i feel like i need to make money, even though i would really like to just relax over the break. oh well, its not like working will be all that strenuous. i kinda wanted to live in the apt style dorms next year, the unfurnished ones have little kitchens and its not that hard to get cheap fruniture at goodwill and stuff, but it turns out itd be about $500 a semester more than even the more expensive dorms (im in the absolute cheapest one right now), so im sure that if i suggested that my parents would want me to pay the difference. even if i made a bit this break, i dont know if i would be willing to pay that much for a dorm, when i dont really have to have it. sigh, itd just be sweet. oh well.

i neeed to remember to call some places this week, see about getting a holiday job. but i really really dont want to dye my hair, so hopefully either some place like hot topic or maybe spencers that wouldnt care, or in the back of some other place. eamon says that lauren has a job folding shit and never even goes on the floor, so that would be ideal. i feel like i need to make money, even though i would really like to just relax over the break. oh well, its not like working will be all that strenuous. i kinda wanted to live in the apt style dorms next year, the unfurnished ones have little kitchens and its not that hard to get cheap fruniture at goodwill and stuff, but it turns out itd be about $500 a semester more than even the more expensive dorms (im in the absolute cheapest one right now), so im sure that if i suggested that my parents would want me to pay the difference. even if i made a bit this break, i dont know if i would be willing to pay that much for a dorm, when i dont really have to have it. sigh, itd just be sweet. oh well.

grah. dont feel like doing my work, but hell who does. noone. dur. tried to play volleyball w/ eamon, john and a couple others tonight, it sucked, then we played pingpong, that sucked to :P i need to just stick with art. grah. i want to start reading again, i was reading foundation etc for a while at the beginning of the semester, but i got sidetracked and never went back. also need to read the book dad gave to me, one so he wont think i dont like it, two just because it sounds interesting. hmmm. need to revise my paper so that i can get someone to edit it... pooface.
